Hi, Tom Colton here. Welcome to my blog.
Having been born in Indianapolis and raised in South Bend for much of my young life, I’ve been a Hoosier by upbringing. Most kids tend to grow up thinking their parents belong to literally a different culture, and mine were a bit more literal than most examples. They hailed from Galway, in Ireland, having moved to Indiana in the 1990s.

I began taking an interest in my cultural heritage in my late childhood, though it wouldn’t really take off until my late teens. It was then that I decided to minor in Irish language and literature.
